The highlight of the device, however, is the simple setup, the OCR function, and the automatic image correction.
The imageFORMULA R50 is a high-performance duplex scanner. Installation was noticeably easy. Unpack, switch on and just enter the WiFi code. The scanner was already working. In terms of workmanship and functionality, you are used to quality at Brother. So it is certainly not difficult for the manufacturer to grant the 3-year on-site guarantee. The compact size and stability are convincing.
The preset storage location "Images" for the scanned documents was unusual. After installing the accompanying programs, however, these could easily be changed, as was the name format. In contrast to my previous scanner, the imageFORMULA R50 has a touch display with quick selection buttons. Several computers can be stored in the network, as can the scan settings (one or both sides, with or without white sides, resolution, etc.).
The non-standard “scan program” on the desktop can thus be easily compensated, especially since the scanner can also be integrated into various other software solutions as hardware. You don't have to compromise on scan quality either. After processing, the contrasts can still be displayed true to the original. The imageFORMULA R50 received five out of five stars for scan quality, speed, and handling.
